The Fenix business group originated in 1990 as one of the first private companies in the Czech Republic. It is currently a holding consisting of ten trading companies and is one of the largest European manufacturers of large area electric heating systems. It exports its products to over 60 countries on 4 continents and has subsidiaries in Slovakia, Great Britain, France, Spain and Norway. FENIX will present its “New concept for buildings in the 2020 standard” – nearly zero energy buildings – at the EXPO Astana 2017 exhibition.

The proposed energy concept considers the use of buildings equipped with battery storage as active elements in the energy transmission grid. The pilot project, launched by FENIX in June 2016, has the task of testing the potential and methods of use and the control of such buildings in practice. The building being tested is the new administrative centre in Jeseník, built according to 2020 standards (according to Decree No. 78/2013 Coll.).
